Pool Cleaners

Pool Cleaners

Is an Automatic Pool Cleaner or Sweep a luxury or necessity? It's a necessary luxury, unless you want to spend all of your valuable leisure time cleaning the pool. At Poolplaza.com we offer a wide variety of pool cleaners as well as the advice needed to select the right one for your pool.

Booster Pump Cleaners - The effectiveness of a booster pump driven pool cleaaner is the constant supply of pressure from a seperate pump know as a booster pump. Because the cleaner unit has its own personal source of power, you never have to worry about loss of pressure which would impair the unit’s ability to operate.

Pressure Cleaners- Uses a dedicated pool sweep line that uses the existing pool pump to provide pressure to run the pool cleaner. Because pressure cleaners use the existing pool pump loss of pressure can occur when the leaf basket on the pump is clogged or when the pool filter requires backwashing.

Suction Cleaner - These cleaners plug-in directly to the skimmer to provide the pressure needed to move the cleaner through the pool. Suction cleaners have the same advantages and disadvantages as pressure cleaners.

Robotic Cleaners - Best choice in terms of performance and energy savings. Though the unit does plug into a standard electrical outlet to provide power, the energy drawn is minimal compared to that consumed by a residential pool pump (even an extremely energy efficient one like the Intelliflo). Many of these robotic units also contain software that programs the pools features (such as wall, floor and surface patterns) into the cleaner.
