What makes the Jandy AquaPure system unique?
1.
Stand Alone Tri-Sensor
The AquaPure
system uses a unique Tri-Sensor to measure flow, temp and salinity. By
using a separate sensor, the accuracy of the salt reading maintained despite the
condition of the cell.
Most
(if not all) of the other systems measure the salt level by measuring conductivity
through the cell. There is a problem with that method. If the cell gets
scaled up or fails for some reason, it can give a false low salt reading, even if the
salt level is OK. Suppose you add a bunch of salt to the pool (thinking the
salt level is low when it is actually OK). What happens? Yup . . . now
you have a salt level that is way to high and now you have to drain the pool down.
The Tri-Sensor
mounts in the plumbing prior to the cell and measures flow, salt level and
temperature.
2. The Complete Jandy Package
The AquaPure
system is a part of Jandy's complete line of pool equipment. Jandy manufactures
a complete line of pumps, filters, heaters, heat pumps, valves, chlorinators,
controls and salt systems. The AquaPure software is currently being
revised to integrate with the AquaLink electronic control system.
3.
In-House Manufacturing
Without a
doubt, the most critical part of the salt system is the cell. In any system,
the cell is the component that is most prone to failure, if not manufactured to the
highest standards. It is also the most expensive part to replace. When
Jandy purchased the AquaPure system, the purchased the entire lanufacturing company,
Huron Tech. Huron Tech manufactures its own titanium plates and heat exchangers
for their salt systems and heat pumps. Keeping this manufacturing process in
house insures quality control and also keeps the cost of replacement parts down.
