Valve actuators are an important component of electronic automatic control systems, particularly as swimming
pools become more complex with a myriad of added features - spas, waterfalls, laminar jets and fountains. The actuators, when attached to a diverter valve, provide automatic
pre-programmed switching of the water supply from one feature to another and, unlike human operators, they do not forget to switch the valves back when they are finished (that
can be an expensive oversight; forgetting one time can result in thousands of dollars of replaced parts). All the manufacturers of automated pool systems also make actuators.
